Contra indications and warnings

The APS Medical devices are completely safe, have been extensively tested and even private persons without medical background may treat themselves and others (Ministry of Health in the Netherlands: letter dated 9 February 1996)

Important:

APS therapy reduces discomfort, inconvenience and pain caused by many illnesses, because it causes a process in the body, whereby the self healing powers of the body become activated. The manufacturers do not claim that APS therapy “heals” (although in some instances patients experience that as a pleasant side effect) but they do claim that it will greatly improve the quality of life of people suffering from chronic illnesses.

APS therapy is designed to treat the pain and other discomforts that are caused by illnesses diagnosed by a physician. The manufacturers do not claim that APS therapy is a prescribed medical treatment for a diagnosed sickness.

General warnings:

  1. Convince yourself of the cause of the complaints when getting involved in pain management with APS therapy (e.g. ask for the diagnosis of the general practitioner). Pain can be a signal of something that may require another medical treatment.
  2. The APS device may not be used at a time when one is involved in activities that require complete concentration (e.g. driving a car)
  3. Do not use the APS device in the vicinity of short wave and micro wave devices as these may influence the working of the electronics in the APS device.
  4. In case of doubt, always contact your supplier or APS Threapy. Tel.: +31 26-4790900, e-mail: info@apstherapy.com

APS therapy may not be used by:

  1. epilepsy patients (Unless given permission by their physician)
  2. persons using a pacemaker (Unless given permission by their physician)
  3. persons who have suffered an acute thrombosis or CVA before at least 12 weeks have elapsed after the attack
  4. pregnant women
  5. children who cannot indicate what they feel and when they feel the tingling sensation of the therapy
  6. cancer patients

Prosthesis and implants:

The APS device may be safely used by patients who have undergone operations and have knee, hip or other metal prostheses and/or implants.
