APS Machine

Here some use tips for the use of the APS machine.

Rule of thumb
APS Therapie is a pleasant and painfree treatment.
During treatment we turn on the switch until we feel a light tingling sensation. The we decrease the level of treatment with about half till two third.
Treating on a to low level is not likely. Treating on a too high level can cause over-treatment. This is bad or dangerous but can cause a sensation of sore muscles.Bij behandeling draaien we de regelknop op tot dat we ergens een lichte prikkel/tinteling voelen. You can't do anything wrong, but you can do better!
Treatment are based on guiding the APS signal through the affected area. The principle works like this: place the black electrode close to the affected area and place the red electrode towards the body. In some cases we can deviate from this rule when treating in other direction is more effective. In definition there is not only one single treatmentplan for a certain problem. When in doubt please contact us.

How long and how often?
In most of our models there is an automatic timer which counts 8 minutes intergrated. Most of the treatments take 8 minutes per scheme. The maximum treatment time is limited to 32 minutes a day. Some people may experience that treating 16 minuted is more pleasant. You don't have to complete the 32 minutes then. Treating 32 minutes is a maximum, not a must.
You can safely use the machine every day. After a period of time most people will find a pleasant treating frequency with for instance once or twice a week. Try to feel for yourself what suits best.

Drink water
The APS treatment frees many waste products. Make sure that you drink enough water to get rid of these waste products through the urine channel. Drinking about 1½ liter per day is reccomended. This can be an easy target by making sure that the water is within reach.

Maintenance
If your APS device stops working it may because the battery is dead. Replace it with a new one with the same type and voltage. It may be either rechargeable or non-rechargeable.
Further make sure the machine does not get wet (internally and externally) and do not expose the machine to extreme temperatures,

Electrodes

Here some tips for the use of the electrodes.

Connecting
The electrodes can be connected with curly cords from the APS machine with the connectors at the end of the leads of the electrodes.

Application
The electrodes are equipped with a sticky gel. Do not apply any kind of liquid gel. This will shorten the lifespan of the electrodes.

Storage
Use the original packaging to store the electrodes. This packaging protects the electrodes from de-hydration and regulate fluctuations in temperature. Do not keep the electrodes in the refrigerator.

Maintenance
Normally the electrodes don't need special maintenance. Only when the electrodes become thinner and the adhesive gel doesn't work sufficient anymore you can rub in some water with your finger. You will see that the water will be absorbed by the gel. This is a sign that the electrodes need to be replaced in short notice.

Earclips

Here some tips for the use of the earclips.

Connecting
The earclips can be connected with curly cords from the APS machine with the connectors at the end of the leads of the electrodes.

Application
The earclips are equipped with feltpads. These need to be wet with water, otherwise the feltpads won't conduct the current from the APS machine. Apply the earclips to the earlobes. Preferably the black on the right and the red on left earlobe. The maximum treatmentlevel for the earclips is 0,05. With the earclips treatment only 2 outlets from the machine are used. The other outlets of the APS machine are unused,

Storage
Let the feltpads dry by squeezing them gently with a towel or tissue between the feltpads.

Maintenance
When the feltpads become dirty you can order new feltpads. The old feltpads can be removed gelty and the new feltpads can be glued on.

Aplicator

Here some tiops for the use of the aplicator.

Connecting
The aplicator can be connected with curly cords from the APS machine with the connector at the back of the aplicator.

Application
The aplicator is equipped with a metal head and a plastic grip. The back has a connector which can be connected to the wires. Usually the aplicator is connected to one black outlet. To create a circuit you must at least apply one red electrode on the body. Moslty even two red electrodes are used.
Allways apply the gel to ensure a good conduction.voorzien van een metalen kop en een kunsstoffen handvat. De achterzijde van de applicator kan aangesloten worden op een van de snoertjes. Bij voorkeur wordt daar 1 zwarte aansluiting voor gebruikt. Om de stroomkring compleet te maken moet er minimaal ook 1 rode electrode aangebracht worden op het lichaam. Veelal worden er 2 rode electroden gebruikt.
Gebruik bij de applicator altijd

Storage
Clean the aplicator after use and store in the case to protect the aplicator from damaging.

Maintenance
Besides cleaning the aplicator there are no particular actions needed for maintenance.

Sponge electrodes

Here some tips for the use of the sponge electrodes.

Connecting
The sponge electrodes can be connected with curly cords from the APS machine with the connectors at the end of the leads of the songe electrodes.

Application
The sponge electrodes are used with the water treatment. Use 1 or 2 sponge electrodes and connect them to the black outlets of the machine using the curly cords. Then connect 1 or 2 adhesive electrodes to the red leads and apply them to the body. Add a teaspoon with salt to the water and hang the sponge electrodes in the water. Put the body parts that need to be treated in the water and make sure that the adhesive electrodes (the ones on the body) do not touch the water.

Storage
Let the sponge electrodes dry before storing them. To speed up the drying the songes may be squeezed gently.

Maintenance
Besides letting the sponge electrodesdry there are no particulars action needed for maintenance.

General Information

In order to preserve your APS device and ensure long livity of the device and the electrodes that you use, please keep in mind the following:

  1. Before applying the adhesive electrode to the body, ensure that the part of the body to be treated, is clean and free from fat. Use water and soap or some alcohol to clean the area to be treated.
  2. After every treatment, remove the curly cords from the APS device before placing the device back in the case.
  3. When removing or fastening the electrodes, always make sure your grip is on the ends of the cords; do not pull or push the adhesive parts as the electric wire may pull out of the adhesive part.
  4. If after using the electrodes for some time they they are less sticky and become thin, wet them with a few drops of water on the adhesive side. Rub it gently with your finger till the water is absorbed. Do this only when the electrodes become less sticky and thin, otherwise it can shorten the lifespan.
    This is also a signal that the electrodes have to be replaced soon.
  5. Replace the electrodes in the bag and keep in by chamber temperature.
  6. When taking the APS device on holiday or on long trips, remove the batteries.
